Before you scan
What does it cost?
One hour is R150 and two hours is R250. A R500 deposit is held at checkout and refunded when you return the power bank on time.
Where do I return it?
Any OBLit station, not only the one you collected from. Push the power bank into a free slot and wait for the confirmation message.
What happens if I am late?
We send a reminder before your time runs out. If the power bank is not returned, the deposit covers the unit and the rental closes automatically.
How do I pay?
Checkout is hosted by Payfast, which accepts card, Instant EFT, SnapScan and Zapper. OBLit never sees or stores your card details.
Can I book OBLit for an event?
Yes. Packages start at R3,500 for a single station and scale to multi-station setups with on-site staff and branded wraps.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Everything runs in your phone browser, starting from the QR code on the station.
